Or like yesterday when I went in the bedroom with Joshua. I heard Elora opening something and thought it was the fridge. I figured I'd have to clean up whatever she was into in a minute...a minute passed by and I realised I couldn't hear her anymore. LOng story short, she had gone outside in an undershirt and pajama bottoms with her boots on! She was halfway down the stairs and covered with goosebumps! Good thing she was still where I could see her!
A knife?!! Oh my goodness that'd freak me out. It may have happened to me, though (my mind is fuzzy when it comes to bad parenting moments because my life is so full of them. ;-))
The last scary thing like that to happen to me was turning around to find my three year old choking my one year old around the throat. Eeek.
It only seems like others have it all figured out; that their challenges are simpler, their friends are jollier, and their grass is greener. But, you should hear how they admire you!
"The Lord compensates the faithful for every loss. That which is taken away from those who love the Lord will be added unto them in His own way. While it may not come at the time we desire, the faithful will know that every tear today will eventually be returned a hundredfold with tears of rejoicing and gratitude." --Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin
"So long as there shall exist, by reason of law and custom, a social condemnation, which, in the face of civilisation, artificially creates hells on earth, and complicates a destiny that is divine, with human fatality; so long as the three problems of the age — the degradation of man by poverty, the ruin of woman by starvation, and the dwarfing of childhood by physical and spiritual night — are not solved; so long as, in certain regions, social asphyxia shall be possible; in other words, and from a yet more extended point of view, so long as ignorance and misery remain on earth, books like this cannot be useless. Preface of Les Miserables"— Victor Hugo
