This week, and probably until I finish all of my current projects, I am not going to add more projects and I am going to complete the ones I have started.
When it gets to be closer to Christmas, I start thinking about all of the things I could make for friends, family and for my home. I usually get too carried away and I don't get them all done. I hate that so much!! I even started early this year, but I keep getting fun, new ideas and I put the ones I really need/want to finish down for too long.
So, no new projects and I am going to finish up the old ones.
It's too bad that I did this goal a long time ago. I guess it is the curse of a crocheter to start too many new projects!
If you are new to SMART Habit Saturday, go and check out The Lazy Organizer. She has great ideas and is always inspirational!

I applaud you for getting up so early. I complain at the 5:30 alarm for me to get up and walk...can't imagine not getting that extra 30 minutes. That no new projects is great, too, I may think about stealing/borrowing that idea from you!
Wishing you luck in finishing up those projects. I really struggle with that as well. Good luck keeping the early rising habit also.
I have allowed myself only 2 handmade projects for Christmas this year. If I finish them I can start another one. I'm glad I did this because with the time I have for crafting I think I will just be able to finish the two things in time for Christmas.
5 am? I bow down to you ... I am definitely not a morning person.
Here's to getting all your old projects completed!
I tripped a little over 5 am too! The only time I'm up that early is if the baby is crying & she'd better have a good reason ;) Good job on setting limits for yourself. Have a good week!
setting limits is hard to do! glad you can realize when your plate is getting too full. mine usually gets so full everything topples over the sides or i end up dropping it!
glad to hear the getting up early is working for you! enjoy you week
I'd have to be asleep by nine in order to get up at five. Are you in bed early?
I'm just trying to get through Halloween before I start thinking about Christmas. My kids think they need costumes!
I try to make a batch of new Christmas ornaments each year but I have to get to the store to get ideas for that! I don't think I've made ornaments for the last two years. I need to get busy!
We are usually asleep by 9. Sometimes it's even 8:30. We are definitely morning people. I don't do well after my bedtime...my brain shuts down!
